Before we agree to meet for our first session, we will schedule a free 15-minute consultation. During which we will speak about what is troubling you and what you'd like out of therapy. I will also answer any questions you have about my work. We can then schedule our first formal session.

Your first session

The first session is unlike others. It is an opportunity to discuss in more depth, what's bringing you to therapy. We will explore when the problem(s) began and how they progressed over time. We will look at tracing a brief background history and what life experiences you've had. The aim is to develop a shared understanding of who you are. We will also talk through any hopes or worries you have about therapy and how I may be able to help. Plus, explore how larger societal structures shape who you are and your experiences. After this, we will consider if I am the right person for you and if you’d like to continue working with me.

All sessions take place online via Google chat or on the phone. Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly. We can discuss arranging sessions every other week if this is preferable.

Session Fees

 

I charge £100 for individual sessions and £120 for couples. Reduced fees are currently not available.
